Duane Malo is the President of Defined Fitness
Chicago Inc. He is a certified
Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers' Association and licensed through the State of Illinois. He
is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, as well as a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength
and Conditioning Association. In 2010 he was listed as one of Chicago's Top Trainers by the Chicago Sun Times.
While working towards his
Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, Duane trained Division I college hockey athletes, many of which have advanced
to professional ranks. He has worked professionally in the clinical physical therapy setting, the college level, high school
level, and in several Chicago health clubs.
Duane was a 3-sport college athlete competing
in cross-country, wrestling and track; receiving Academic All-American honors in Track. He also was a member of the
gymnastics club, holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and has trained in Jeet Kune do and Kung-Fu. He is the 2004 “Mr.
Illinois” Lightweight in NPC bodybuilding, and has competed at the National level. Duane’s education, experience,
and passion for health and fitness enable him to provide the absolute best in personal training for his clients.
